80% less grid power at night 20 kWh stored Power-on in 2 weeks Your solar is giving power away. A battery keeps it.
By day your panels make more than you use, and it goes to the grid for a feed-in rate that keeps dropping. By night you buy it back at full retail. A battery stores the day to spend at night.
-
Daytime
Your panels make more than the house uses. The surplus charges the battery instead of being sold to the grid for a few cents.
-
Evening
When the sun drops and your usage peaks, the house runs on stored solar, not on grid power at full retail.
-
Overnight
The grid stays off until the battery runs down, so you buy far fewer of those expensive night-time kilowatt-hours.

Getting an EV? Get the charger first
An EV adds 30 to 40% to a typical household bill if you don't plan for it.
We do the EV charger install separately, then show you what your bill looks like with the EV layered in, then quote you the battery to offset it. Get a free EV charger when you buy a full battery system.
Whole-house, off-grid, or Goodwe-grade
If you need whole-house off-grid capability, EV-load offset, or a Goodwe-grade system, our parent brand Solar Uptime handles premium installs from the same crew. Same installer, different product tier. We'll route you across if it's the right fit.
The questions everyone asks
The short version. The full list lives on the FAQ page.
Is $8,000 really the all-in price?
Yes, for a standard residential install: the SoFar 20 kWh battery, 5 kW inverter, fitting and commissioning. The quote confirms the final figure before you commit. A switchboard upgrade or difficult access are the only things that change it.
What happens if you miss the two-week install?
We credit you back. The schedule is locked the day you accept, and the guarantee is not subject to weather. [CLIENT: confirm credit-back amount.]
Can you add it to my existing solar?
Most of the time, yes. The SoFar AC-couples to existing PV between 3 kW and 13 kW, so we add storage without ripping out your inverter.
Who handles the warranty?
Service Tech, our service arm. 10 years on the cells, with all fault-find and warranty admin handled in-house for the life of the warranty.
