Terms of use
The rules for using this website, and how our quotes, pricing, and the two-week install guarantee work.
Last updated: 12 June 2026
This website is operated by Service Tech Pty Ltd (ABN 14 166 102 414). Energy Cost Saver is a trading name of Service Tech Pty Ltd. By using this site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Quotes and pricing
Our advertised prices — $8,990 for the SOFAR Powerall 20 kWh battery with 5 kW inverter, and $12,990 for the 6.6 kW solar + battery bundle — are starting prices for eligible standard residential installations: single or double-storey, suitable site access, compliant existing electrical infrastructure, no asbestos, no heritage restrictions, no body corporate approval required, and no switchboard upgrade. Site-specific items — switchboard upgrades, difficult access, long cable runs, metering changes, network requirements, non-standard backup wiring or existing system defects — may increase the final price, confirmed at quote before you commit. All prices include GST.
The federal battery rebate (Cheaper Home Batteries Program) is applied at point of sale via STCs and is reflected in our advertised pricing where the site, customer and equipment are eligible. Eligibility is subject to the government scheme's terms and may depend on approved products, SAA-accredited installation, the battery being installed with solar PV, no prior battery STC claim for the premises, and the installation date (the rate is set at the installation date). If the site is not eligible, the final price may change before you commit.
Prices, product specifications, rebates, and timeframes shown on this site are a guide and can change. Nothing on this website is a contract or a binding offer. A binding agreement only exists once we give you a written quote and you accept it in writing.
EOFY 2026 offer
The free 5 kWh battery module upgrade is valid on systems where the deposit is received and cleared before 30 June 2026. The upgrade is applied at the time of installation as a physical additional SOFAR BTS 5K module. The offer applies to standard metropolitan residential installations in South East Queensland only.
The two-week install guarantee
The guarantee applies to standard metropolitan residential installations in South East Queensland. "Two weeks" means 10 business days from cleared deposit to power-on. Where a delay is attributable to Energy Cost Saver, a $200 credit per week (or part thereof) applies, as an invoice reduction or direct transfer, up to a maximum credit of $1,000.
Exclusions: extreme weather making roof work unsafe, DNSP or network connection delays, required switchboard upgrades, asbestos, heritage or body corporate restrictions, customer-requested rescheduling, site conditions differing from the quote, and force majeure events.
Savings estimates
Savings and payback figures on this site are indicative examples only, based on stated assumptions such as household usage (around 26 kWh/day), electricity tariff, feed-in tariff, supply charge and battery usage. Your actual savings may be materially higher or lower and depend on your usage profile, retailer plan, tariff structure, solar generation, shading, roof orientation, export limits, battery settings, battery degradation, weather, seasonal variation, equipment performance, supply charges and future electricity prices. We provide a site-specific estimate before contract.
Any reference to the Solar Sharer Offer is general information only. From 1 July 2026 it is expected to provide eligible households in relevant areas (including South East Queensland) with around 3 hours of free electricity in the middle of the day, subject to government, retailer, smart-meter and tariff conditions. It is an optional retail tariff, not an overnight network battery incentive. We do not guarantee eligibility, availability or savings from that offer, and it is not included in the example figures on this site.

Your actual savings, rebate eligibility, and system design depend on your home, your usage, and current programs. We confirm all of that for your site as part of the quote.
