Privacy policy
What we collect when you ask for a quote, why we collect it, and what we do with it. Plain and short.
Last updated: 4 June 2026
Energy Cost Saver is the price-led tier of Solar Uptime, operated by Service Tech Approach Ltd (ABN [CLIENT: ABN]). This policy explains how we handle the personal information you give us. We follow the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What we collect
We collect personal information when you submit the quote form, email us, or call us. From the quote form that's your name, email, mobile number, postcode, property type, roof type, your existing solar details, and your preferred time to call. If you email or call, we keep what you tell us so we can quote and book the work.
Our site is a static website. We don't run accounts, logins, or comment sections, so we don't collect that kind of data. Our host (Cloudflare) may log standard technical data such as your IP address and browser type to keep the site secure and online.
Why we use it
- To prepare your savings estimate and fixed quote.
- To contact you about your enquiry and book the install.
- To handle warranty and service on anything we install for you.
- To meet our legal, tax, and electrical-compliance obligations.
We don't sell your details. We don't add you to marketing lists without your consent. We don't share your information with unrelated third parties.
Who we share it with
We share your details only where it's needed to do the job you asked for:
- Our install and service team within the Solar Uptime and Service Tech group, so the right crew quotes and fits your system.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf, such as our email delivery provider (Resend) and our hosting provider (Cloudflare). They handle the data only to provide their service to us.
- Government bodies or regulators where the law requires it.
We don't disclose your personal information to anyone overseas to sell or market to you. Some of our processors may store data on servers outside Australia. Where they do, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information stays protected.
Cookies and analytics
The website itself sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set a small number of essential cookies to keep the site secure and performing. If we add analytics later, we'll update this policy and keep it to aggregate, non-identifying measurement.
How we keep it safe
The site runs over HTTPS. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. No system is ever completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we treat your details with care and limit who can see them.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry and any install records for as long as we need them to quote, do the work, honour the warranty, and meet our legal obligations. When we no longer need your information, we delete it or de-identify it.
Getting access or correcting your details
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it's wrong or out of date. Contact us using the details below and we'll respond within a reasonable time. There's no charge to ask, and we'll explain if we ever can't action a request.
Complaints
If you think we've mishandled your personal information, contact us first and we'll work to put it right. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
